One of my favourite things is reading rings on birds. So I was very excited to find this colour-ringed white stork on the Kitulo plateau last week. It was ringed as a nestling in Poland in 2011, some 7061 km away. This bird probably flew the same distance as I did to get to Kitulo!

ReplyDeleteI would like to say, that I started read rings on gulls this year. And I'm very excited too, when I saw a bird with a ring.
By the way, you do great work, what I can see on the blog. And the 2nd great thing is polish white stork! I'm from Poland, so it's good to hear about bird from my country.
